Terms of service
By entering a b*trail event you agree to the following.
Participation. You're entering the event at your own risk. You confirm you're physically fit and have no medical condition that would make participation dangerous to you or to others. If you're not sure, see your GP before entering.
Conduct. On event day you agree to follow all instructions from event staff, marshals, medical personnel, landowners and any emergency services. We reserve the right to remove any participant from the event for unsafe behaviour, abuse of staff or other participants, missing cut-off times, or failing to follow course markings.
Age limits. Minimum age on event day is [16] for [shorter distances] and [18] for [longer distances / ultra]. We may ask for ID at registration.
Kids races. Minimum age on event day is [4].
Race numbers. Your race number is personal to you and may only be transferred via the process in our refund and transfer policy. Anyone running on someone else's number will be disqualified, removed from the results, and may be banned from future b*trail events. This is a safety matter. If there's an incident on course we need to know who you actually are.
Equipment and kit. Headphones are not permitted on any course section that includes vehicle traffic or shared road. On trail-only sections, bone conduction or single-ear use only. Where mandatory kit lists apply, they're set out on the individual event page and will be checked at registration. No kit, no start.
Dogs, prams and pushchairs are not allowed unless the event page explicitly permits them.
Course changes. We may change course, distance, format or timings if conditions on the day require it. We'll give as much notice as possible. Course changes do not entitle you to a refund.
Photography and media. Photos and video taken at b*trail events may be used by us and our event partners for marketing, social, editorial and commercial purposes without further consent or payment. If you'd prefer not to appear in marketing material, let a photographer know on the day or email afterwards and we'll do our best to remove you from circulated material.
Liability. b*trail events are organised by [Company name], company number [00000000], registered at [address]. We carry public liability insurance. Each entrant accepts that the organisers will not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, claim, cost or expense arising as a consequence of your participation, except where caused by our negligence and to the extent that liability cannot be excluded under English law.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
